The lab consists of the following environments:
• Mobile service platforms consisting of WAP gateways, MMS and SMS centres, presence, streaming from Nokia. This lab is connected to live GPRS and EDGE radio access networks. The lab is provided through the partnership with Octopus in Finland.
• Broadband infrastructures. Using the excellent deployment of broadband networks in northern Sweden as a testing platform, many new technologies can be tested. Most of the available Internet distribution technologies are available ranging from true fibre trough wireless access.
• Advanced terminal lab. Testbed Botnia can offer a range of advanced terminals, like tablet-PC’s, PDA’s and smartphones together with SDK’s for Symbian etc for experiment purposes.
By using these lab environments our clients gets the possibility to check their solutions with regard to technical functionality at an early stage of development. Problems and failures can be detected and thereby cost savings can be made.
